ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has on Wednesday said that disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif should not have filed review petition against the Panama case ruling.
The opposition leader expressed his views in the NA and said the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan had announced the verdict responsibly after conducting investigations. Those details that were not mentioned earlier have now also been declared, added Shah.
He further stated that the apex court’s ruling has damaged Nawaz Sharif’s credibility a lot, and his integrity will now continue to be questioned. The SC decision is of its own kind, he maintained.
Khursheed Shah said he will not accuse Nawaz Sharif of fooling the public, but the ousted premier should not have taken a false oath.
